Ride of the Fancy Women
FreeJoin us on 14 June 2026 for our annual ride!
The Ride of the Fancy Women is about inclusive spaces. We use whimsy and glamor to advocate for safe and women-welcoming infrastructure, so that everyone may safely use a bicycle for transportation. Bicycles have long been women's freedom machines: from the days of the suffragettes, to now. The Ride of the Fancy Women is about having the space to be included in our city on our terms. Vintage Ride in Tweed
FreeBring your oldest bike. Dress like it's 1894, or in your best tweed!
We'll ride through some of the oldest parts of Edmonton, including Rossdale Flats and the River valley, and enjoy some Edmonton history with local historian Ian Hosler while we do it. We'll end at the Muttart LRT station, where a member of Sugar Swing Dance Club will offer participants a swing dance tutorial!
